Climeworks

Climeworks is an environmental services company committed to combating global warming. They offer carbon dioxide removal as a service using direct air capture (DAC) technology. At their Orca facility in Iceland, CO₂ is effectively removed from the air and stored for thousands of years. This process, performed in collaboration with their storage partner Carbfix, ensures the captured CO₂ remains in the ground permanently. The DAC facilities operate exclusively on clean energy, and leverage modular CO₂ collectors that can be configured to build machines of different capacities. Established by engineers Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher in 2009, Climeworks aims to inspire 1 billion people to actively participate in the removal of CO₂ from the air to achieve significant climate impact.
